Wizz Air (LON:WIZZ) has announced the appointment of Brian H. Franke as a non-independent non-executive director with effect from 16 June 2026.
Mr. Franke has been a principal of Indigo Partners LLC, a private equity fund focused on air transportation, since April 2004. He has served as a member of the Frontier Board of Directors since December 2013.
He has also served on the boards of Concesionaria Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V., which does business as Volaris, since July 2010, including as board chair since April 2020; several entities within the JetSMART SpA group since March 2017; APiJET, LLC since November 2020; and Cebu Air, Inc. since July 2021.
Mr. Franke previously served on the boards of Tiger Aviation Pte. Ltd from 2008 to 2010 and Tiger Airways Australia Pty Ltd. from 2009 to 2010. He also served on the University of Arizona Foundation board from 2016 to 2025. He holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona and a Masters of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
At the same time, Andrew S. Broderick has told the company he will resign as a director with effect from 15 June 2026, after about seven years as a non-independent non-executive director.
Chairman William A. Franke said he was delighted to welcome Brian to the board, adding that he brings deep industry expertise and experience of working with airlines to accelerate growth and implement operational discipline.
He also thanked Andrew for his service since joining the board in 2019, including his time as chair of the Financial Performance Committee.
Wizz Air said that, apart from the details set out in the announcement, there is no further information to disclose under UK Listing Rule 6.4.8R for Brian H. Franke.
