Barrick Mining Corporation (NYSE:B) has published its 2025 Sustainability Report and accompanying performance data, outlining sustainability performance over the past year.
The company said its total recordable injury frequency rate fell 60% from 2020 levels, while lost time injuries were down 28% year on year. It said the results reflected continued focus on safety improvement and fatality prevention.
Barrick also said it continued to strengthen its approach to human rights, water stewardship, biodiversity management and climate resilience. In 2025, 96% of employees and 76% of suppliers were drawn from host countries, with more than $7.1 billion spent with local and host country suppliers.
The company said it invested more than $62 million in community-led development initiatives. It also said it published its Human Rights Report in April 2026, reinforcing its approach to transparency and accountability across operations and supply chains.
During the year, Barrick said it increased the use of environmental and biodiversity considerations in operational planning and project development. It added that it continued to apply its Biodiversity Risk and Impact Assessment tool to identify, assess and manage biodiversity risks across operations and projects.
Barrick said its water reuse and recycling rates exceeded its target of 80%, and that it advanced supplier engagement on Scope 3 emissions. President and chief executive Mark Hill said the company maintained an ‘A’ rating on its Sustainability Scorecard.
